Ingredients:
- Chicken without bone and skin
- Japanese leek (negi), leek, or green onion
- 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons Mirin or sake
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Honey or maple syrup
- Small wooden spears
- Mix together 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of sugar, a little bit of honey or maple syrup, a little bit of mirin and water, and heat it up until combined.
- Cut chicken into 1 inch squares
- Place chicken in marinade and let sit (the longer the more flavor, but 15 minutes is long enough)
- Cut leeks into 1 inch pieces
- Spear the chicken and the leeks with the sticks
- Grill until cooked, make sure to turn them over.
